The CCTV Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing CCTV systems and related security equipment. This role involves conducting site surveys, configuring cameras and network devices, performing troubleshooting, and ensuring all surveillance systems operate efficiently and securely.
Role and Responsibilities

Install, configure, and test CCTV systems, including IP and analog cameras, DVR/NVR units, and related hardware.

Conduct site assessments to determine optimal camera placement and cabling routes.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades of CCTV equipment.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to camera operation, connectivity, power, and recording.

Run and terminate cables (Cat5/Cat6, coaxial) and connect devices to power sources and networks.

Configure network settings such as IP addresses, PoE switches, routers, and remote viewing applications.

Keep accurate records of installations, service reports, materials used, and system configurations.

Provide training or guidance to clients or staff on the proper use of CCTV systems.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical regulations, and company policies.
