Job Summary

A Camera Surveillance Officer, also known as a CCTV Operator, is responsible for monitoring security cameras and surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The officer observes live and recorded footage to detect suspicious activities, security threats, theft, or unauthorized access and immediately reports incidents to the concerned security team or management. They maintain surveillance records, prepare incident reports, and ensure that all CCTV equipment and monitoring systems are functioning properly. A Camera Surveillance Officer must have strong observation skills, attention to detail, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and following organizational security procedures.
