Job Summary

The Branch Service Officer (BSO) is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service and supporting day-to-day branch banking operations. The role includes handling customer transactions, account servicing, sales support, and ensuring compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Customer Service & Operations

  • Handle customer inquiries related to accounts, deposits, withdrawals, loans, and banking products

  • Process over-the-counter transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Assist customers with account opening, KYC documentation, and service requests

  • Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues as required

Sales & Relationship Management

  • Promote and cross-sell bank products such as savings accounts, fixed deposits, loans, and digital banking services

  • Identify customer needs and refer potential leads to relationship managers

  • Support branch sales targets and customer acquisition goals

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • Fresh graduates may apply for junior BSO positions

Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or customer service

  • Prior experience in branch operations, teller services, or sales is preferred

Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of banking products and services (accounts, deposits, loans)

  • Understanding of KYC, AML, and compliance procedures

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Sales and cross-selling ability

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions

  • Proficiency in MS Office and core banking systems
