Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate BBQ Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in barbecue cooking methods, flavors, and techniques, capable of delivering high-quality, mouthwatering dishes that celebrate the art of smoked and grilled cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing meats, managing the smoker or grill, maintaining food quality standards, and contributing to a top-tier customer dining experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of BBQ dishes including smoked meats, grilled items, sides, and sauces

  • Monitor cooking temperatures, smoking times, and food safety procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following hygiene and sanitation standards

  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods

  • Assist in menu planning, food inventory, and ordering as needed

  • Uphold safety, cleanliness, and food handling guidelines at all times

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a BBQ Chef, Pitmaster, Grill Cook, or similar role

  • Hands-on knowledge of smoking, grilling, and slow-cooking techniques

Food Safety & Hygiene:

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices

  • Ability to monitor and control cooking temperatures and meat doneness safely

Physical Stamina:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in high-heat environments

  • Capable of lifting heavy items like meat cuts, charcoal bags, and grill components

Time Management:

  • Ability to prepare large quantities of food efficiently without compromising quality

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume settings (restaurants, events, festivals)
