Job Summary

The overall responsibility of the incumbent is to lead the programmatic endeavors which include (RE, Youth, Waaz) and other day-to-day academic matters in the region. The position will be responsible for planning and conducting different programs, REC development models, and teacher, parent, and management training programs. He/she will also supervise the teaching-learning process in RECs by paying visits, demonstrating, observing lessons, and providing in-time support to teachers. This position will also be responsible for conducting Youth-related Education Programs. Activate and facilitate Youth Educators. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for delivering waezes, Preparing waez Scripts, Giving Waez Briefings, conducting waez classes, delivering lectures, and supporting RECs in terms of improvement of access and classroom.


REGULAR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead academic programs across the board and provide training to educators and teachers.
  • Serve as a RECDC for one of the local boards to strengthen formal RE.
  • Facilitate smooth implementation of Ta'lim Curriculum in RECs in the region.
  • Conduct need-based Training Programs for REC stakeholders (Teachers, Parents, and Management) with required strategies and planning. (Budgeting and Program handbook approval is also part of proper planning)
  • In coordination with the local leadership, plan and implement workable strategies to enhance children's access to RECs via formal, episodic, face-to-face, and online RE classes.
  • Conduct Follow-ups and Support Programmes for RE and Waz areas.
  • Conduct effective follow-up of training programs and use the data for further RE improvement.
  • Pay visits to RECs, observe the lesson, and provide feedback and support to teachers to create a conducive learning environment in the classroom
  • Develop proposals for RE repositioning, including rotation plans to ensure each student's quality and effective learning environment.
  • Organize Waaz Briefings, Develop Wa’z scripts, and deliver Wa’z in JKs.
  • Assist staff in delivering Wa’z briefings across the region.
  • Develop Youth Educators with the support of the unit coordinator and Conduct Youth Dialogue, Youth Briefings, and Religious Education Programs for Youth and Adults, as per the need of the region.
  • Participate in the conceptualization of new initiatives as well as re-conceptualization of current programs as per the need assessment and assist supervisor in the development of program proposals.
  • Conduct Youth Conventions, Youth Camps, HMDP, and other need-based upcoming programs from the Youth Unit such as motivation for and activate Youth Educators.
  • Propose initiatives for self-development and present to the Supervisor for approval/ for further formal procedure
  • Contribute to teamwork, as well as take personal steps to develop an academic environment in the regional office.
  • Read books related to area of specialization and general thematic areas; Present Book Reviews on a need basis.
  • Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor


PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct programs particularly in pocket areas to emphasize upon the members of the Community and especially parents to send their children to REC to enhance their religious education and strengthen our faith and religious practice.
  • Regularly read books, articles and conduct reviews for teachers and Community.
  • Prepare and deliver special waz on various occasions and traditions, other need-based topics.
  • Conduct need-based programs in the region's remote areas for students who are not in access to REC and Community Centre.
  • Share his/her professional expertise and knowledge with other Communities while travelling to other regions by waz and lecture.
  • Engage in the M&E process and write a comprehensive report on the assigned programs or projects.
  • Visit RECs and support them in Ta’lim education
  • Deliver/facilitate in special lectures/sessions on request of the REC/Institutions with the consent of RAC.
  • Conduct need-based research if required.

Required Skills

Skills:

  • A Master’s degree with a minimum of two years of work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Language expertise in English and Urdu.
  • Must have enough knowledge of computers such as MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the internet.
