Assistant Manager IT - Head Office, Malir @ Ismailia Youth Services (IYS)

Assistant Manager IT will work under the direct supervision of the Head of IT & MIS. S/he will lead in-house software development and provide software support. Moreover, the position will also extend support to all units of IYS in proper functioning of gadgets, IT related services, monitoring networking equipment. Further s/he will assist in developing and maintaining organizations website.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead development, deployment, integration and maintenance of the IYS customize software (HR, finance, Inventory, MIS modules) and associated improvements ongoing basis.
• Assist in devising, developing and deploying biometric attendance system and integrate cloudily for centralize control of attendance.
• Ensure cyber, security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Provide technical input in purchasing, installation, repairing and fixing/alignment of CCTV cameras for IYS Schools and Academies.
• Facilitate staff for providing necessary IT equipment for official functions.
• Assist Head of IT & MIS in preparation of IT budget and cost-effective implementation.
• Support in development, deployment and maintenance of Intranet system across IYS.
• Support in development, deployment and maintenance of VPN Network across IYS.
• Manage centrally installed sever for all IT operations across IYS.
• Help Head of IT & MIS in design and implementation IT strategies and infrastructure
• Ensure timely initiative to improve IT processes and upgradation of software.
• Manage Software after complete installation across IYS which includes its installation and maintenance on staff computers as well as on servers for accessing and updating data from a single location.
• Interaction with end users (i.e., employees of IYS) to provide support regarding software, internet, IYSEDU Domain Management, E-mail configurations and network related issues like connectivity with servers, PCs and other equipment etc.
• Assist in developing and maintaining organization’s website and take appropriate steps when required.
• Installation and maintenance of PABX system in IYS schools and academies.
• Support in development and running of LMS (Library Management System) for IYS.
• Liaison and develop different soft manuals, catalogs and system for IYS Libraries.
• Develop proposal for upgradation of libraries with respect to IT Equipment and infrastructure and ensure smoothly functioning accordingly.
• Any other task assigns by the supervisor from time to time.

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in software development and IT support
• Proficiency in software development tools (e.g., PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS)
• Knowledge of network systems, cybersecurity, and server management
• Experience with biometric systems, CCTV, and PABX setup
• Familiarity with website and intranet development
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and end-user support abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
