Job Summary

As an Admin Officer for the Council, the incumbent will be required to provide with the secretarial and administrative related support to Council and other institutions operating in the premises of council office along with providing support in coordinating office procedures as well as for specific projects.


General Responsibilities

Admin Officer performs a variety of clerical tasks. S/he providing support to our managers, employees and jamat, assisting in daily office needs and managing council general administrative activities.

Specific Duties

  • Carrying administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Booking conference calls, rooms, taxis, couriers, hotels etc.
  • Monitoring stationary levels and ordering office supplies.   
  • Covering the reception desk when required. 
  • Provide information to internal colleagues or external enquirers.
  • Relying to telephone or face to face enquiries. 
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.  
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing the post. 
  • Answering telephone calls and passing them on. 
  • Coordinating repairs to office equipment.
  • Greeting and assisting visitors to the office.
  • Photocopying and printing out documents on behalf of other colleagues.
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by officiate of respective Council.
  • S/he will be reporting to Assistant Manager Administration. 

Required Skills

Professional Experience

  • Candidate have minimum one year of working experience in Administrative capacity. 

Skills and Attitudes

  • S/he must be a team player with good interpersonal skills
  • S/he must have excellent communication skills with a command of spoken and written English.
  • S/he must have the ability to draft correspondence and reports.
  • S/he must be well-versed with using MS Office applications. S/he should have experience of planning and organizing events.
  • S/he must have ability to work under pressure and should be able to meet deadlines.


Academic Credentials

  • S/he must at least hold Intermediate degree. Commerce graduates will be preferred.

Language Proficiency

  • Strong communication skills in English and Urdu (both oral and written).

Work Schedule

  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours.
