We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role plays a key part in managing our company’s financial health and supporting strategic decision-making.
Role and Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Process accounts payable and receivable
Prepare tax returns and assist with audits
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Monitor and analyze financial data and performance
Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes
Skills and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (more for senior roles)
Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
Familiarity with financial reporting and regulatory requirements (GAAP, IFRS)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Experience with ERP systems is a plus
Understanding of payroll, invoicing, and tax preparation (corporate and sales tax)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Willingness to stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax laws
