Job Summary
The pre-dominant role of the Academic Coordinator is to achieve overall Academic goals of the students in both academies. S/he will be part of the academic team led by Head of Academics and oversee daily activities; engage with respective Chairpersons, other team members, students, school management team as well as parents; and regularly review plan of studies of students and supervise/tutor/mentor students. The Academic Coordinator also supervises the implementation and quality of academic support provided by Academic Associates and plays a key leadership role in driving academic excellence across the academy.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leadership and Oversight of Academic Interventions
- Plan and Lead all academic interventions in the academies with a focus on strategic outcomes.
- Supervise and support Academic Associates in their academic duties, ensuring consistent and effective student support.
Student Baseline Study & Academic Record Management
- Develop and carry out baseline studies for boarders.
- Maintain and supervise the upkeep of academic record files for each boarder, documenting academic standing and performance targets.
- Regularly review academic records to ensure data accuracy and instructional alignment.
Improvement of Student Performance
- Guide and support Academic Associates in identifying and addressing students’ weak academic areas.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic support and interventions delivered by the team.
Teacher Collaboration and Feedback Management
- Meet with subject teachers to gather feedback about boarders’ academic progress & share & discuss the same with the Chairpersons from time to time.
- Maintain a structured record of all teacher feedback and ensure follow-up actions are taken by Academic Associates as needed.
Development and Implementation of Academic Initiatives
- Design new academic initiatives and lead their implementation for boarders using latest methods.
- Coordinate closely with the Head of Academics to ensure initiatives are aligned with institutional goals.
- Supervise and monitor initiative outcomes through the academic team.
Timetable Planning and Implementation
- Prepare academic timetables for boarders with strategic allocation of time for interventions with the collaboration with respective Chairpersons.
- Oversee the execution of the timetable and ensure adherence by students and staff.
Parent Engagement and Academic Communication
- Establish strong communication channels with parents, especially those of underperforming students.
- Ensure Academic Associates provide timely updates and follow-ups as part of this engagement strategy.
Coordination of Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)
- Coordinate with school partners to organize and lead PTMs.
- Ensure participation of key stakeholders and facilitate performance discussions.
- Supervise follow-up action items arising from PTMs.
- Share meeting outcome with respective Chairpersons & HOA.
Online PTM Facilitation
- Take the initiative to ensure smooth execution of online PTMs for parents who are unable to travel.
- Monitor the effectiveness of these meetings and ensure all relevant academic updates are shared.
- Share meeting outcome with respective Chairpersons & HOA.
Monitoring of Student Skills and Ethical Development
- Actively monitor and guide students’ skill development, communication, and ethical behavior.
- Provide directions to Academic Associates on behavior management strategies.
- Ensure students' conduct aligns with institutional values.
Discipline Management and Cultural Oversight
- Oversee student discipline and work alongside the Superintendent to reinforce a respectful and ethical environment.
- Model and promote positive behavioral expectations throughout the academic setting.
Academic Results Tracking and Analysis
- Take lead responsibility for tracking academic results of boarders.
- Conduct detailed analysis and ensure findings inform future planning.
- Guide Academic Associates in using data effectively for targeted interventions to enhance student learning outcomes.
Professional Development and Instructional Improvement
- Contribute to the professional development of Academic Associates by introducing research-based strategies and the latest educational models aimed at improving instructional practices and student achievement.
- Engage in ongoing self-directed professional development through educational research, skill enhancement, and application of innovative learning frameworks to support personal career growth and institutional advancement.

- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, along with a B.Ed. or M.Ed., is required.
- Should have 2–3 years of teaching experience, with proven leadership and management capabilities.
