3D Designer and AutoCad Draftsman

Job Summary

One of the private company located at DHA requires 3D Designer and AutoCad Draftsman in Karachi.

Auto cad Draftsman develops creative three dimensional concept designs for various projects.
H/She Creates drawings and layouts using computer aided design and drafting software.

Responsibilities:

• Developing 3D concept designs for existing and new clients.
• Develop 3D models, illustrations, logos and other 3D & 2D designs.
• Develops 3D design for exhibitions, promotional events, kiosk and other design requirements.
• Creating 3D architectural pre-visualization.
• Converting AutoCad layouts into 3D
• Study design briefs and determine requirements.
• Conceptualise visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to clients.
• Discuss the briefs and design concept with the design team,finalise proposals and present them to the clients.
• Does a variety of design work (graphic design and artwork) for different displays and exhibitions.
• Prepare fully coordinated and accurate/full sets if technical drawings for production and submission to malls/duty free for approvals.
• Create accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions and site visits
• Prepare shop drawings including plans, sections, elevation,power distribution and lighting layout.
• Revise drawings and layouts as required accommodating changes and enhancements.
• Produce draft designs and diagrams according to given specifications with high attention to detail.
• Ensure drawings adhere to established specifications and standards.
• Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision.
• Convert AutoCad drawings to 3D drawings as and when necessary.
• Ensure proper coordination with production department.
• Ensure along with production coordinator that the completed product is as per the technical drawings. Any discrepancies noted in the material specs & dimensions should be notified to the management immediately.
• Work in shifts and group companies as per management’s requirement.
• Ensure cooperation within the team.
• Co-operate at all times with all departments of the company within the limitation of the scope of work.
• Carry out any other assigned task as directed by Direct Manager/Operations Manager/Management.
• Adherence to company’s standards, policies and rules & regulations.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent.
• Excellent hands on knowledge in Adobe creative suite, Autodesk 3D max, Vray, Sketch up and AutoCAD
•  Minimum 2 yrs. of similar experience preferably in an advertising industry/production house.
• Ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others.
•  Innovative and creative mindset always bringing in new ideas and design
• An interest to always be up to mark in new design trends.
• Good communication skills to convey concepts to client positively
