Job Summary

  • Designing and implementing databases that adequately address business needs by streamlining data collection and automating CIME processes. 
  • Working alongside clinicians and educators, develops skills and knowledge to utilize simulation, AV and IT technology deployed within CIME for the delivery of simulation based education.
  • Adhering to guidelines, policies and protocols devised by CIME management in relation to equipment and technology utilization and management
  • Ensuring compliance with Institutional Data policies while developing and implementing local policies and procedures for effective data handling and management within CIME in relation to simulation.  
  • Using tools and techniques to connect different data sources and visualise them in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
  • Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
  • Disseminating knowledge locally to colleagues, faculty, staff and visitors.
  • Undertaking programmed of preventative maintenance of technical equipment including IT, and simulators
  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
  • Keeping abreast of new products and developments in simulation and data science. 
  • Undertaking programs if CPD as required to maintain currency of skills and knowledge
  • Undertaking assignments in relation to clinical simulation in campuses across AKU.
  • Contributing to research activity with in CIME to improve the technical functions of the Centre. 

 

Required Skills
  • a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Science subjects (Computer Science is desirable) from an HEC recognised or reputable foreign university
  • at least two years’ experience in professional role in related capacity. 
  • preferably data management and analytics research or experience 
  • proficient knowledge of Data science tools and techniques
  • proficient in using data visualization and analytic tools like Powerbase, Excel
  • ability to use Microsoft SharePoint or similar platform for organizing data
  • high-level analytical and decision-making skills to interrogate data
  • ability to troubleshoot IT systems at module level 
  • knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, MAC, Linux and related troubleshooting skills 
  • ability to work as a team player and individually, with capacity for leadership
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • competence at analyst level in 16 identified clinical simulation competencies at CIME.
