Job Summary

The incumbent will primarily be responsible for different aspects of programs through the project cycle in a volunteer based community environment. The prime responsibility will be to work closely with the Portfolio Manager & Head of Operations in the development and management of programs (both existing and new) with the support of existing and potential partner institutions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare work plans and budgets.
  • Review reporting staff’s work plans & budgets.
  • Coordinate program requests received from the field offices and team members.
  • Implement current and planned programs / initiatives of AKWSBP through staff and local volunteers.
  • Ensure timely disbursement of assistance amount to beneficiaries.
  • Liaise with community members.
  • Work with portfolio manager, field teams, volunteers, and partners to design and implement relevant programs/workshops.
  • Capacity building of regional program officers and volunteer teams.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Portfolio Manager on ongoing programs.
  • Supervise and provide performance feedback to the staff reporting to this position.
  • Perform MIS functions such as data entry, MIS reports, other reports (as required), etc.

The incumbent will have access to confidential information and beneficiary records. S/he will be responsible for maintaining this information as confidential.

Reporting Relationship

  • The incumbent will report to the Portfolio Manager of AKSWBP.

Required Skills

Timing

  • Timings will be as mentioned in the contract.
  • The position may require coming to office earlier than regular timings, late sittings and/or work on holidays.

Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • A graduate degree in Social Science, Management, Health, Education or any other related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in social, public or corporate sector. Professional training in social development and management will be a plus.
  • Strong motivational skills and experience with community activism.
  • Problem solving skills and willingness to work around obstacles both internal and external and with volunteers
  • Ability to multi-task, organize work and co-ordinate several programs.
  • Ability to work in teams and with people from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel within Pakistan.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and command over English and Urdu.
  • Fair competence and comfort level with use of computers and basic internet applications.
  • A strong understanding of and respect for social ethics and other core values of the Board including equality, fairness, diversity, participation, creativity, humility and respect.
  • Willingness to work on any additional task as assigned by the Portfolio Manager.
