Job Summary

A reputed hotel is seeking applications for the position of Manager Production-Karighar.

Job Responsibilities:

The Manager Karighar identifies, develops, and manages appropriate concepts and strategies to maintain the three Karighar units (Stitching, Honeybee processing & packaging & Handicraft) by introducing modern production process keeping align standards, supervise staff manufacturing products; organizes, monitors workflow, quality check of product line, distribution to location and inventory control.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure People management which involves shift control, HR, etc.
  • To Coordination with unit management on demand and supply.
  • To ensure the regular training evaluation of staff working in center.
  • To ensure implementation of Quality Assurance and ISO standards.
  • To ensure the inventory control of each incoming and outgoing raw material.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • To ensure the management of new product development from initiation, market development, skill enhancement & operational improvement.
  • To ensure proper monitoring and controlling throughout the product development stages.
  •  To ensure that ‘cut to pack', ‘farm to table’ operations are streamlined and properly done in accordance with the international standards.
  • To supervise the production team and introduce shop floor productivity and concepts.
  • To maintain and update efficiency & effectiveness of productions, line performance analysis which includes efficiency, person to machine ratio, cost per piece, and plan for continuous improvement.
  • To manage and communicate project tasks and work orders according to priority.
  • To ensure effective communication with the team members like merchants, fabric manager, cutting team, planning & marketing team.
  • To ensure quality of production in line with the international and target customer standard.
  • To coordinate with the stakeholders about the production progress.
  • To ensure appropriate working environment for all associates of the stitching unit.
  • To prepare and maintain production reports.
  • To prepare pre & post costing of products to be prepared.
  • To develop the design studio and introduce modern concepts in production process.

 

Required Skills

Requirement:

  • Masters in Fashion Design/Product Design/Textile Designing, Production handling.
  • Resident of northern Pakistan is preferred.
  • At-Least 2 year of relevant experience.
