A Cook Helper assists the chef and kitchen staff in preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Role and Responsibities:
Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation and cooking activities.
Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Store food items properly and monitor stock levels.
Help with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
Dispose of waste and keep kitchen areas sanitary.
Support kitchen staff during busy meal service periods.
Follow food safety and health regulations at all times.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
Minimum Middle, Matric, or equivalent education preferred.
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when required.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Honest, hardworking, punctual, and responsible.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
