Job Summary

A Cook Helper assists the chef and kitchen staff in preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Role and Responsibities:

  • Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
  • Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Store food items properly and monitor stock levels.
  • Help with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
  • Dispose of waste and keep kitchen areas sanitary.
  • Support kitchen staff during busy meal service periods.
  • Follow food safety and health regulations at all times.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Minimum Middle, Matric, or equivalent education preferred.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Honest, hardworking, punctual, and responsible.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
