A Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking high-quality meals while ensuring kitchen operations run efficiently and food safety standards are maintained.
Role and Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present meals according to menu standards.
Develop new recipes and menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and daily kitchen operations.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards.
Monitor inventory levels and order food supplies when needed.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
Train and guide kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and procedures.
Control food costs and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and make improvements when necessary.
Required Skills
Skill and Qualification;
Relevant culinary diploma, certificate, or professional cooking training preferred.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Ability to prepare a variety of cuisines and menu items.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage kitchen inventory and control food costs.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Honest, reliable, and committed to maintaining high-quality food standards.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
