Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for providing programmatic support to various AKEBP-led programs as well as will provide administrative and operational support for day-to-day functions of the institution.

Programmatic Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, enhancing, and strategizing current EB programs;
  • Assist in developing monitoring mechanisms and do follow-ups for timely data collection for the relevant portfolios;
  • Identify potential human resources (volunteers) that could assist in the delivery of these programs
  • Along with the head of programs, design and implement a plan for capacity building of human resources associated with the program;

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparations of annual plans for program implementation with main focus on effective utilization of human and material resources;
  • Provide ongoing support to the implementation and act as a single point of contact for communications of the aforementioned programs;
  • Regularly coordinate with Jamat as well as AKDN agencies and community-based organizations/ civil societies;
  • Visit the regions on regular basis to monitor the progress of the interventions and provide technical support for further improvement of the above-mentioned) programs;
  • Provide coordination and operations support to the AKEB OBs, Head of the Operations & Programs, and Board Members;
  • Provide support in the preparation of concept papers on potential initiatives and contribute in writing proposals when required;
  • Represent AKEB in forums and thematic working groups etc. with AKDN agencies, civil society organizations and Jamati institutions, as and when deem appropriate;
  • Carry out relevant duty assigned by supervisor/board member.

Others:

Required Skills

To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily:

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Education, Management, Social sciences or Commerce from a reputed university.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu
  • Background of working with Education-related organizations/projects
  • Background of working with AKDN or Jamat institutions (preferably with AKEBP)
  • Strong management skills
  • Good MS Office skills especially Excel and OUTLOOK

Capabilities:

  • A self-starter, and highly motivated individual having passion for working in the education sector;
  • Demonstrated capability to conduct one’s self in a calm and professional demeanour when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations;
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate orally and in writing;
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff and volunteers;
  • Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job and is willing to travel to difficult terrains.;
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide array of tasks, projects, and responsibilities;
  • Ability to work productively in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions.
